Last night I had a zemblanity moment – I was chatting to a fellow freediver who told me a guy had broken the mens “under water walk” record at the end of September… The record has been pushed up to 110m!
Today I felt low – the extra length my only seem like 10m but I was stretching myself to 100m with nearly three and a half minutes underwater… At least I have two more weeks left of training which I will use to try extend my breath hold to see if I can reach the distance.
After training which went ok considering my head was in a spin dealing with the extra distance needed, I sat by the sea and read before a taking little jog and going to the gym although all very unenthusiastically – I just feel tired and a little low about the news but tomorrow is another day.
I hope you will Join me in these few weeks training as I share the highs and the lows. I am also trying to raise funds for another Guinness World Record attempt early next year in Norway for the “longest under ice swim with breath hold” – that’s no fins, no weight belt, no wetsuit and under 34 cm of ice in sub zero waters! If you would be interested and able to assist, I would appreciate any donations through my crowdfunding page.
